If there is a representative of the teachers and staff, the commission will not update the details.

The Election Commission has objected to the election of the delegates of the incumbent teachers, staff and professors. The commission has stated that the provision of sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Political Parties Act, 2073 BS clearly mentions that the reinstated teachers, staff and professors cannot be members of political parties.

The commission has made it clear in a statement that teachers, staff and professors working at the union, state and local levels are not allowed to participate in politics.

The commission has decided not to update the existing teachers, professors and staff if they are representatives of political parties. A statement issued by the Joint Secretary of the Commission, Shaligram Sharma Poudel, said, "If it is found that the membership details of the party and the office bearers have been selected without following the instructions of the commission, the details of such party officials will not be updated by the commission as per Article 51 of the Political Parties Act, 2073."

The commission has also decided to remove the names of the office bearers and members of the party's provincial committee and district committee from the political parties registered with the commission at the provincial or district election office.
