Confusion about printing of SEE question papers

The preparation of question papers for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has not started yet.  In the past, work related to preparation of question papers was started from mid-November.  The SEE of 2077 could not be conducted due to Kovid-19 and the question paper of that time is safe with the National Examination Board, Examination Control Office (Class 10).  It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

 Controller of Examinations Rudra Adhikari said that the question paper of 2077 BS can be reused.  "If the number of examination centers and students is increased in this year's SEE (2078), the question papers may have to be added.  In such a case, it is enough to print a small number of question papers.  Therefore, it may be appropriate to use last year's question paper, ”he said.  The SEE question paper of 2076 BS was burnt at the police post due to the failure of the examination due to Kovid-19. Last year's question paper is under security cordon in Panika.  According to Panika, the question paper was printed last year at a cost of around Rs.  Officials of the education body have been holding the view that the question papers of last year should be reused as the cost of printing would be avoided.




 Officials of the Examination Control Office say that it will not be possible to conduct the examination before the second week of April if a new question paper has to be printed as the work related to the preparation of question papers has not started yet.  The Controller of Examinations said that two or three sets of last year's questions kept in the reserve without printing were safe and could be used.  ”


 According to the new structure of education, class 10 examinations have to be conducted at the state level.  So far, from the preparation of question papers to the publication of results, only the responsibility of printing the answer scripts and conducting the examination has been delegated to the state government.  Last year, the state government had demanded to conduct the examination on its own, but the government had said that the question papers would be handed over to the state only from next year due to delay in printing.  The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has not commented on the matter.  This news has been written by Prakriti Adhikari in today's Gorkhapatra.
