11th Amendment to Teacher Service Commission Rules, New Standards in Teacher Selection

The 10th Amendment has made new provisions for teacher selection. As the 10th amendment of the rules has provided for general and thematic examinations by keeping open and promotion examinations in the same category, the commission has sent a proposal to conduct the examination in different provisions by amending the said provision, said Information Officer Sudarshan Marhatha.




 Today's cabinet meeting has made the 11th amendment to the Teachers Service Commission regulations. The cabinet has approved the amendment proposal sent to the cabinet committee for amendment by the cabinet meeting on October 25.


 Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel informed that the Council of Ministers has approved the proposal of the Teachers Service Commission and sent the proposal to the Education Committee today.


 The 11th Amendment has made new provisions for teacher selection. As the 10th amendment of the rules has provided for general and thematic examinations by keeping open and promotion examinations in the same category, the commission has sent a proposal to conduct the examination in different provisions by amending the said provision, said Information Officer Sudarshan Marhatha.


 According to Information Officer Marhatha, the rules have been amended by amending the provisions of Rule 18 and the provisions of 38 by amending the provision of thematic examination in the internal competition by conducting written, interview and experimental examination of 100 integers and a total of 125 integers.


 According to Minister Poudel, the proposal to amend the rules was sent to the Cabinet Committee for further consultation. With the amendment of the rules, all avenues have been opened for the commission to select teachers.


 The commission has now got permission to select new teachers in the posts of 17,047 teachers in community schools. The commission has already advertised for the secondary level before the amendment of the rules. From Edupatra.
