No age limit for appearing in the SEE
There is no age limit for appearing in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE).
In the past, there was a provision that one should have completed at least 14 years of age to appear in the annual examination of class 10, i.e. SEE.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Deepak Sharma, said that the law clearly states that the final examination of school level will be conducted in class 12. Accordingly, provision has been made in the Education Regulation (Ninth Amendment) to conduct secondary passing examination in class 12. Therefore, the age limit imposed in class 10 in the past is no longer in SEE. ”
Even last year, many students were barred from joining SEE until they reached the age of 14. I have been asked to understand the examination form this year. "Even if you are not legally barred from appearing in the exams due to age limit, the Examination Control Office should make public the official announcement that the age limit will not be imposed before the results are made public," said Ministry spokesperson Sharma. Otherwise, the students may be confused. ”
According to him, since the secondary passing examination has been shifted to class 12, the provision of past age limit will automatically be shifted to class 12. "The limit of class 12 will be decided when the Education Act is enacted, but the provisions of the regulations will remain in force until formal arrangements are made."
Meanwhile, question papers have been prepared from the center for this year's examination.
The Ministry of Education had prepared the question paper from the center for one time last year. That statement is limited to formalities.
Chairman of the National Examination Board Dr. Mahashram Sharma argued that they wanted to give the responsibility of preparing the question paper to the state but they had to prepare the question paper as the state seemed reluctant.
He said, “We had discussions with the officials of the state education directorate. He urged the board to prepare the question papers this year. So this year we have helped to prepare the question paper. The state will prepare it next year. ”
According to him, the responsibility of conducting the examination, testing the answer scripts and making the results public has been delegated to the state. In the past, printing of answer scripts, conducting examinations and testing of answer scripts was done by the state government but the results were made public from the center. "Now that the results will be made public by the states, the results of all the states may not be made public on the same day," said Dr. Sharma said, "The results of the state which will be able to work faster will be made public first."
